The challenge

Products are becoming more software-driven, connected and regulated. When requirements, models, plans and tests live in separate tools, teams lose traceability, changes ripple out unnoticed, and proving compliance turns into a manual, last-minute effort.

The context

IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) connects every engineering artifact in one traceable chain, based on the open OSLC standard. Teams can see the impact of a change before they make it, reuse proven work across product variants, and build up evidence for compliance as they go. Governed AI assistance cuts down on writing and review effort while engineers keep the final say. ELM is widely used in aerospace and defense, automotive, medical devices, rail and infrastructure, and financial services.

EVOCEAN helps you introduce, integrate and get the most out of ELM, from the first workshop through to day-to-day operations.

In daily engineering

Understand change across disciplines

Follow a requirement through system design, implementation and verification — including the relationships between software, electrical and mechanical engineering.

Reuse work with configuration context

Manage linked engineering artifacts in the context of product versions and variants, rather than relying on disconnected copies.

Build review evidence as you engineer

Generate reports and documents from linked lifecycle data for reviews, contractual requirements and compliance preparation.

Requirements methods and supplier exchange

We support requirements methodology and requirements interchange with suppliers, as well as the tooling. Our workshops configure IBM DOORS Next within its suite to the way your team works.

Start, migrate or administer

We support teams starting with DOORS Next and teams migrating from DOORS Classic or another tool. Administration and installation can be delivered in EVOCEAN’s cloud or locally at your premises, depending on your needs.

Evaluate before committing

The DOORS Next evaluation approach combines guided setup, hands-on configuration and training, supported work with your own requirements, and monthly reports to inform your decision.

How delivery is agreed

Most workshops can be online; some are better on site. We consider team size, customer context, cost-effectiveness and value-effectiveness. Detailed workshop scope and hosting terms are agreed separately.
