Available activities

EVOCEAN offers workshops to define potential approaches, collaboration with university research, prototypes for specific use cases, sovereign-AI tool setup through local model installation, and strategic guidance on EU AI Act readiness and governance for engineering workflows.

Work from the use case

MedTech, robotics and computer vision are potential areas of collaboration, alongside organisations seeking research depth beyond their internal resources. Computer-vision applications remain generic until a specific scope is agreed.

Compliance and governance in regulated domains

For teams in MedTech, robotics, automotive and safety-critical engineering, AI adoption calls for a clear view of the intended use, organisational responsibilities and applicable regulatory requirements. We help teams assess EU AI Act scope and risk classification, define human oversight and engineer approval gates, and connect AI-assisted work to traceable engineering records, including requirements and verification evidence.

Not every engineering AI use case is a high-risk AI system. Where the high-risk requirements apply, human oversight, record-keeping and transparency must be assessed for the particular system and the organisation’s role. EVOCEAN provides strategic and technical advisory, not legal advice, conformity assessment or certification. Compliance cannot be established by approval gates or local model installation alone.

EVOLVIA as a prototype example

EVOLVIA emerged from this work and remains an independent topic site. It is a prototype AI Test Engineer for safety-critical embedded software, with engineer approval gating code and test changes.

Clarify the next step

An initial call considers your challenge, goal and context. Local installation does not by itself establish offline operation, data-location guarantees, certification or regulatory compliance.
