Rhapsody Essentials for Systems Engineers

Overview of IBM Rhapsody Training:

In this training, you will learn techniques required to use the Systems Modelling Language (SysML). Further, the techniques are applied  using IBM Rhapsody with the aim to solve complex systems engineering problems.

Through the use of hands-on exercises creating “real world” applications, you will build a strong foundation in SysML and Rhapsody. In addition, the process by which models are created is explored with a practical process. Above all, the essential SysML diagrams for Requirements Analysis, System Functional Analysis, System Design Synthesis, are explored and applied in practical exercises.

You will learn hands-on how to use IBM Rhapsody to build a model of a filling station. This includes the coverage of executable token-based activity diagrams, various metrics views, OSLC-based requirements linking, SysML Proxy Ports and Interface Blocks.

Objectives of this IBM Rhapsody Training

  • Use Rhapsody effectively in the context of a systems engineering process flow with the aim of ensuring that you are comfortable applying Rhapsody in all phases of systems analysis and design.
  • Create systems level models with full traceability to OSLC-based re-quirements, including impact and coverage analysis.
  • Validate system models through model execution.

Prerequisites:

  • Systems Engineering experience or interest.
  • Basic know-how of SysML is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Notebook with Windows 7, 8 or 10 and 3 GB of free hard disc space.
    For on-site courses, a notebook can be rented for EUR 150.00 excl. VAT (service charge).
