The IBM Watson IoT Platform ia cloud based platform build on the IBM Bluemix Cloud, which is a PaaS – Platform as a Service. It is built on open standards and can be used for the creation, execution and management of mobile and web applications.

The platform allows developers access to various software for integrations, security, transaction, and other key functions from IBM and an ecosystem of software which partners provide.

With  Bluemix you can concentrate on creating a first-class user experience with flexible computing options, a selection of DevOps tools and a powerful set of APIs and services from IBM and third-party suppliers.

The offer includes services and tools from different IT disciplines such as Big Data, social media, mobile, security or the Internet of Things and is based on different customer groups and requirements such as industrial, mobile, commerce, science and marketing. Even new business solutions such as wearables, i.e. the development of portable computer systems, can be developed with Bluemix and tap into the wealth of available resources.
